MillBooks provides a complete Account Receivable (AR) package perfectly suited to feed mills, and works with whatever General Ledger program you may have, such as QuickBooks.

MillBooks bases pricing on the size of your business, as the larger the business typically the more demanding will be your needs for customization, security, downtime, etc. Typically pricing will run annually at 0.18% of our AR, billed monthly. So if your total annual AR is $10m, you would be billed about $1500/mo. This includes software maintenance & customization and continuous data backup to the cloud. Aside from procuring server hardware (if necessary) and software (SQL Server) at the outset, there are no other fees or charges.

MillBooks is a Windows-based client-server application, which means that there is a central MillBooks database running in your home office (on Windows/SQL Server) and MillBooks is installed on as many workstations as is needed in your office (on Windows). MillBooks client workstation software communicates with the MillBooks database so each user sees the latest updates to the database.

MillBooks, in partnership with Team Logic IT, provides continuous backup to the cloud and monitoring of the database server. This service is provided at no additional cost.

Yes, we have experience migrating DOS-era programs to modern Windows and SQL Server environments. We charge our normal monthly fee at the outset to cover our development costs.

Our client-server architecture works well in this case and we have years of experience managing these environments. You would have one SQL Server database server in your corporate office location and MillBooks programs at your various locations outside of the corporate office would access the database over the Internet (the corporate office would access over local area network (LAN). To maintain security, access over the Internet would be configured using Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), which we have a long history in operating. There is no additional cost to you in setting up and configuring these environments, it is just a cost of doing business to us.

Yes and No. To utilize the full functionality of the MillBooks AR application, you will need the Windows client-server product. Given the unreliability of the Internet in many areas still, we find that this is actually most everyone’s preference anyway. We do provide a subset of our AR capability online and we invite you to check out our online demo. In case you want to provide your customers with a way to review their account activity, print out old statements, even place orders outside of normal working hours, we are able to provide these options online. We can modify your web site so it’s a seamless addition, or help you create a web site from scratch if need be.
